“A race against the clock to achieve climate neutrality”
With an investment of just 1 percent of its members’ annual income, One Climate achieves reductions in CO2 emissions. This allows us to build a climate neutral community amongst all participants of the cooperative, and to create jobs and fight energy poverty, ensuring everyone, everywhere has access to the affordable energy they need to thrive.
To achieve our goals, the cooperatives funds will be shared fairly between partners in the Global North and Global South, and organized into national subsidiaries of the cooperative.

In the first year, projects In Rwanda and South Africa will be focused on two things; the installation of solar home systems in rural areas, to assist farmers and school children in their daily tasks, and solar heaters in urban systems.
The German subsidiary will invest its funds in solar systems for self-consumption.
In the Netherlands, the available funds will be invested in wind power stations. Related to the sum of all projects, investors and members of the cooperative will benefit by a repayment of their investment, with interest.
