One Climate
What we do
One Climate connects people around the world to community action on climate change through sustainable energy.
Climate change is a global threat that can only be solved by joint international action. To face this challenge, we – citizens from Africa, Asia, and Europe – launched a new international initiative: the `1 Climate International Cooperative U.A.´ with a base in the Netherlands, in June 2021.
Our common goal is to achieve climate neutrality and to alleviate energy poverty by 2035, relative to the number of members in our cooperative.
Our projects create jobs and liberate people from energy poverty in the areas most affected by climate change. Participating citizens get back their invested amounts with interest. Our projects are proof that everyone can join the fight against climate change, regardless of the amount of their income.
To this end, we want to provide a platform that distributes the sums invested fairly between rich and poor countries, in order to act against climate change and to save the planet for future generations.
Our vision is a world in which 1% of global economic output is invested.
Where politics does not act quickly enough, we want to break new ground – so far in The Netherlands, Germany, Rwanda, and South Africa. Our journey has already begun.
